On the 17th of November TTS launched the first set of internal workshops on data and data exchange between partners involved in the INEDIT platform. Data and the underlying data management platforms are substantial factors for the future of personalized manufacturing and will be key contributors to the development of complex and customized products and relevant processes. In fact, there is a vibrant connection between investment in IT enabling technologies and industrial efficiency and efficacy targets, especially for the prompt delivery of personalized solutions. All that will foster the DIT (Do-It-Together) approach at the core of the INEDIT project.

Effective data management results in the convergence of the physical world and the virtual world, where the latter streamlines communication, flow of data, and data exploitation, that the former can use to timely, effectively and efficiently release (up to) one-of-a-kind outputs.
In relevant projects dealing with Industry 4.0 TTS has had to face the need to collect from and forward data to multiple industrial and non-industrial entities using heterogeneous software applications, protocols, data structures and supporting systems.
The use of the INEDIT platform will enable our ERP tool to exchange data with all the actors involved guiding the user from the design to the final furniture.

In the coming months experiences TTS made with Veragouth and SCM will be exploited in other OMDF (Open Manufacture Demonstration Facilities) to promote effective customized production in heterogeneous manufacturing environments.
