Open Innovation Congress took place on 28th of June 2021 in an innovative online format.
The session “Open Innovation Ecosystem for collaborative co-creation” centered on examples of successful open innovation in the projects funded under Horizon 2020 call Open Innovation for collaborative production engineering and discussion of the practical application of their lessons learned beyond the research project.
In order to boost innovation through open and collaborative co-creation, the European Commission aims at enhancing the regulatory framework for innovation involving different stakeholders and creating ecosystems. Therefore, the projects presented in the session represented various European regions and industries.
OpenNext, DIY4U, iProduce, and INEDIT showcased success stories of open innovation within the projects. Partners of INEDIT project have shared their lessons learned for sustainable business model creation for open innovation projects.
The Q&A session has covered the discussions on possibilities of designing business plans for open innovation projects to ensure sustainability of projects, its advantages and disadvantages, and the main impacts that will pay a role in seeking for funding.
